COLD WATER THERAPY

Back in the water.

For a while now I’ve not been able to fully immerse myself in cold water in the mornings and have been having a cold shower which is in itself an amazing start to the day and has so many health benefits physically mentally and spiritually.

But now I have access to an ice bath! Left outside over night this is such a powerful morning practice.

As a participant and teacher of cold water therapy sessions, I know how incredibly beneficial this practice is.

Physically, it helps our bodies to regulate our temperature, nurturing brown fats which help with metabolising white fats and keeping us warm. It helps with circulation, improves our immunity as well as a whole host of other benefits.

Mentally, it helps to reset the parasympathetic nervous system, pulling us out of fight or flight mode, reducing stress, anxiety and depression. We also receive a great release of endorphins to boost our mood for the day.

Spiritually, it’s amazing to practice over coming fears and stepping back from the chatter of the mind. The cold water is simply a set of circumstances that the mind seems as stressful and if we can learn to relax in that situation, we can relax in any triggering situation too.

Would you like to start the day with this powerful practice?

If you have any questions or are interested in anything I offer please get in touch.

Peace ✌🏽❤️🐻‍❄️
