DEPRESSION PART 2: MEDITATION

Coming back to tools and techniques that I used to overcome depression in the past.


Probably the single most powerful tool I have and continue to use on a daily basis both to deal with depression, anxiety and any other mental health issues is Meditation.


Meditation for me is an amazing practice to focus in the present. When depression is active, the mind is buried in the past and what has happened and being unsatisfied with how things are. When we bring ourselves into the present we allow ourselves to see that everything is exactly as it is and is not good or bad, it simply just is.


Meditation can come in many formats. Silent, with music, walking, sitting, lying. Anything that allow you to focus and train the attention away from the mind.
